    User Experience

Rerun Reports from Report Preview– **New**

Following the feedback we’ve received from multiple partners; we’ve introduced a new Rerun option on the generated reports screen:

This option brings you back to the Report parameters for that report, allowing the report filters to be changed and the report run again quickly. Any parameters you had set in the initial report are retained, so its easy to change them and run the report again.

This saves you time and clicks, as now you don’t have to go back to the main screen to rerun the report if you need to change a couple of parameters in the report – for example running a sales report for a different sales rep to see how each one performed.

    customers and invoices

A new option to group and filter the Sales Analysis report

We’ve added a new grouping and filtering option on the Sales Analysis report, “by Created App Source”. This groups invoices on the report by its sales channel, such as Web Application, Point of Sale, External API, WooCommerce or Infusion (Legacy), allowing you to see where your different sales are coming from.

Price updates on cost changes - **Improved**

With our 2024-Q4-R4 release. If you have the setting enabled, the prompt will appear whenever a product cost price is changed on a Purchase Order, Purchase Order Receipt, or Purchase Order Receipt and Invoice.

To make managing your product pricing easier and to ensure margins are maintained, a new functionality has been added.

When the cost price changes on a Purchase Order, a prompt can be set to remind you to change the prices, or using an on-screen option, a dialogue box can be opened to load selling price changes that go into effect when the Purchase Order is Received.

We are still working on getting the labels to use the new prices that are loaded onto the Purchase Order, so for now you’ll need to reprint the labels from the Purchase Order Receipt.

Let’s see how the feature works:

This prompt currently only appears if the cost is changed on a Purchase Order. If the cost price change is entered in when doing either the Purchase Order Receipt or Purchase Order Receipt and Invoice, the prompt won’t appear. Instead, you can trigger the prompt manually by using the icon beside the Unit Cost field. This will be fixed in the next release.

    financials

Cost Centres have been added – **New**

Based on the product location, these Cost Centres allow you to track income, expenses and profit by Cost Centres. This information allows you to see how different locations are performing financially, identify trends and see how the different Cost Centres contribute to the overall company performance and profit.

Each product location has a new field to set the Cost Centre for that particular product location

Any product transaction that uses that product location will use that Cost Centre.

For any non-product transactions there's a new field to record the Cost Centre for each line:

You can view details about each cost centre on the GL Enquiry and on a pair of reports.

For everything you need to know about how to use Cost Centres check out our help articles https://infusion.helpjuice.com/en_AU/cost-centres

    API

Calls now use either the UUID or Code rather than just UUID

Most API's have been changed to allow you to choose between the UUID for a field or the Code.  It is possible to provide both, and validation will be done to ensure the UUID provided matches the code provided.  If these two don't match, you will get a 400 error  advising they do not match.

Where there is no code for the UUID, e.g. Location, we are working on a solution which will be released at a later stage.

    Other

Our Features Available Now in Infusion document now has the release months of all the features we have released this year, letting you know when those features you were asking for were introduced.

    What we Fixed in December

    1. We’ve made some updates to the Cash Flow Analysis report. All transactions that impact the bank account are now captured in the report, with any transaction that doesn’t fit the other lines being assigned to the Other line

    2. When recalling and posting invoices, we’ve made changes on the POS side to make it faster. This saves you time, bringing the speed of the POS system in line with that of the Customers module for recalling saved invoices, especially those with a significant number of lines.

    3. We’ve improved our Cashbook Payment API. Now if you include a bank account GL account as a line item it will return a result letting you know that a bank account can’t be selected as a GL account, rather than silently failing as a result.
