    Overview of Product Reports

    We have a number of product reports that are accessible from the product list view using the more options on the top right of the product list.  

    All reports can be identified with the report icon to the left of the report name.

    Product Pricelist
    • This report is a landscape price list for active product, by default it includes all products irrespective of if they have stock but offers the ability to only include products with stock on hand at a given location.  It includes 5 price levels only in this report.
    • This report shows only one price either GST inclusive or exclusive.  
      • This is based off the system setting for GST Policy.
    • This report prints only 5 price levels and has a current bug that it prints inactive price levels.  
    • The inactive price level is being addressed.
    Product Price List (Price Level, Margin/Markup)
    • This report is a portrait report including both exclusive and inclusive prices, cost, margin and markup if Include Cost, Margin and Markup is ticked (default behaviour).  
    • Used more of an internal pricing analysis than a customer-facing price list.
    • You must select a single price level. 
    • This report can be used instead of Product Price List to get any additional price levels not shown in the Product Pricelist report - untick the Include Cost, Margin and Markup to get a customer facing pricelist.
    Product Valuation
    • This is a point-in-time stock valuation report.  It shows how much your tracked stock is worth at a chosen date, using product cost pricing and historical stock balances. You can run it as a product-level detail list or a grouped summary with totals.
    • This report has an option to run as Detailed or Summary.  The summary version rolls the valuations up by your chosen Group by option (group, group/subgroup, location, or location/group) — there are no individual product lines shown.
    • When running the report in detail mode you have additional options to change what is shown on the report:
      • Print negative stock only - include in the report only when the stock is negative.  When selected you can't include items with zero stock.
      • Include items with zero stock - include the zero stock items in this report.
      • Include last sold and receipt dates - include the last sold and receipt dates into this report.
    • Serial tracked products are included in the report, there is an additional report to show the costs of the serial numbers individually if you are tracking the costs individually.
    Product Valuation Serial Products
    • This is a point-in-time detailed stock valuation report for serial tracked products.  When the product setting “Track costs by serial number” you can track the individual purchase costs, this report will provide the valuation of these products.
    • You can include items with zero stock.

    Product Promotional Pricing
    • This report shows the promotional price on products, expired, active and future promotions. For each promo it shows the standard sell price, the calculated promotional price, the discount vs standard, promotion dates, and how the promo was calculated — grouped by product group, subgroup, and product.  
    • The product setting “Enable promotional pricing” needs to be enabled promotions to be created.
    • All promotions are shown until you filter the report.
    • A product can appear multiple times as they are included in each valid promotion.
    • For bulk export of promo setup, the product menu also has Active Product Promotional Prices CSV export
    Product Quantity Breaks
    • This report shows quantity break sell pricing by product, grouped by Product Group → Subgroup → Product → Price Level. For each break it shows quantity, sell prices (ex/in GST), discount vs the base price level, and markup/margin vs cost.
    • When running the report in detail mode you have additional options to change what is shown on the report:
      • Include inactive quantity breaks - quantity breaks can be disabled on a product.  This will show those.
      • Include inactive product - this will show you quantity break prices on inactive products.
    • The product setting “Enable quantity break pricing” needs to be enabled to create quantity breaks on a product.
    • For bulk update of existing quantity breaks, the product menu also has Active Quantity Break Pricing CSV export.
    • When including inactive products or quantity breaks these are not identified in the report.  A change has been requested to show this.

     

    Product Status
    • This report shows current stock status by product (and location): In Stock, Allocated, Available (In Stock − Allocated), On Order, and optionally In Transit / On Backorder depending on layout and product settings.
    • When running the report, you can exclude additional data using the Include products with transactions and zero stock.
    • Report settings let you to choose if this report will include backorders by selecting the report layout. 
    • Include products with transactions and zero stock including products that have zero stock that have had a movement.
    • Product must be ACTIVE, and track stock.
    • Location must be active.
    Product On Hand by Location
    • This report shows a pivots on-hand quantities by product across locations (columns = locations). Supports grouping by product type, group, or group + subgroup. 
    • When running the report, you have additional options to change what is shown on the report:
      • Display options control location colours
      • You can round to zero decimals.  
      • You can exclude additional data using the Include stock with zero quantities.
    • Include stock with zero quantities is only including products that have zero stock that have had a movement.
    • Product must be ACTIVE, and track stock.
    • Location must be active.
    Product Transactions
    • This report shows
    • All movement types is the default, this report can be run for a specific movement type or a range of them.
    • When running the report, you have additional options to change what is shown on the report:
      • Sell Values
      • Cost Values
      • Active Products - default is selected
      • Inactive products
    • Inactive products are identified by “*” after the product.
    Product Kitset Buildup
    • This report shows kitset products with their components, including component quantities, kitset/component costs, and optional sell price levels
    • When running the report, you have additional option to change what is shown on the report:
      • Include prices - this shows the cost of the kit
     
    Product Details
    • This report shows product details (code, description, type/group/subgroup, costs, barcode, sales unit, activation status, superseded-by, last sold/receipt dates, and price levels).
    • Inactive products are identified by “*” before the description.  
    Product Summary
    • This report shows a summary view of the product details (code, barcode, description, type, group, subgroup, and sales unit).
    • Inactive products are identified by “*” after the product.
    Products used in Kitsets
    • This report shows component products that appear in the kitset grouped by component Product Group → Subgroup → Product, and shows which kitsets use them and the quantity.
     
    Top/Bottom Products
    • This report shows Top/Bottom Products ranks posted invoice sales for a date range, then keeps only the top or bottom groups by a chosen metric.
    • The default number is 10 and is user editable.
     
    Product Movement
    • This report shows product stock movement over a date range: opening balance, quantities by movement type, optional in-transit, closing balance, and stock turn.
    • Transfer column = received transfers + transfer receipts; unreceived show via In Transit when enabled
    Stock in Transit
    • This report shows open and posted product transfers that are still in transit — stock that has left the sending location but not yet been received at the destination.
    • You can select inbound, outbound or both.
    • The product setting “Transfer via stock in transit” needs to be enabled to transfer using in transit.
    • Not visible if the setting is disabled.
    Product Reorder - By Sales
    • This report shows recommends reorder quantities from historical sales, current stock, and EOQ.  
    • Order Stock for (Months) needs to be entered to run the report
    • When running the report, you have additional option to change what is shown on the report:
      • Sales Period - 30 days default
      • Preferred supplier only - false default
      • Include kitset components - false default
      • Include negative reorder - true default
      • Include stop all purchase order products - true default
      • EOQ Rounding - round up default
    • How reorder is calculated
      • Available = on hand − allocated − backorder + on order
      • Total sold = qty sold (+ kitset component qty if opted in)
      • Monthly average = total sold ÷ (days in period / 30), rounded up
      • Recommended = (monthly average × order months − available) ÷ supplier ratio
      • Apply EOQ rounding and negative-qty rule → recommended order to display
      • Value/freight/weight/volume on that recommended qty
    • Active products only
    • Stocked products only
    • Excludes products with kitset stock handling Invoiced
    • Sales and balances scoped by selected location when one is set
    Variable Products
    • This report shows variable products with attributes/options, existing variants.
    • When running the report, you have additional option to change what is shown on the report:
      • Include inactive products - false default
      • Include variants to add - true default
    • When including inactive products or quantity breaks these are not identified in the report.  A change has been requested to show this.
    • Presently the inactive selection is not working, a fix has been requested for this.
