    File upload unsuccessful notification

Notification: “The file(s) for product Code – Description failed to upload”

This notification appears when the system attempts to upload product‑related files (documents, images, or videos) but one or more exceed the allowable size limits for website inclusion.

A common cause is large video files—especially on products integrated with WooCommerce—being marked Include in website. For example, a product with 400 MB video files set to sync to the website may trigger this error.

    Cause

The error is typically triggered when:

    • A product contains oversized files (e.g., large videos).
    • These files are marked as Include in website, prompting the sync engine to upload them.
    • The file size exceeds what the website integration supports.

    Resolution Steps

    1. Open the affected product in the system.
    2. Navigate to the Documents/Images tab.
    3. Locate the file(s) referenced in the error—commonly large video files.
    4. Click the file to open the right‑hand details panel.
    5. Untick the checkbox for Include in website.
    6. Save your changes.

Once the file is no longer flagged for website publishing, the product should sync without errors.
