    Multi Currency Supplier Invoice

The Supplier Invoice screen supports foreign currency transactions for international suppliers. Amounts are entered and displayed in the invoice currency, with local-currency equivalents shown for reconciliation and posting.

Before creating foreign currency invoices, please ensure that the Default Foreign Currency Realised Gain/Loss and Unrealised Gain/Loss GL accounts have been assigned in Financial Settings. For more information on setting up and using these accounts, please refer to FX GL posting

Supplier Invoice from Purchase Order or Product Receipt

Supplier Invoices created from a Purchase Order, Product Receipt, or Receipt & Invoice flow inherit the Currency and Exchange rate from that source transaction. The currency cannot be changed on those invoices.

The unrealised gain or loss arising from exchange rate fluctuations is recognised when the Invoice is posted. For more information on how foreign currency transactions and related GL postings are handled in Infusion, please refer to FX GL posting - Article Editor

Supplier Invoice without a Purchase Order

You can create a Supplier Invoice without a Purchase Order for a foreign currency supplier.

    • Select an International Supplier. The Currency will default to the supplier’s default currency, but can be changed if required.
    • Enter or confirm the Exchange Rate for the invoice date.
    • Add the required line items to the invoice.
    • Post the invoice as normal.

    Recurring Supplier Invoices

For Recurring Supplier Invoices in a foreign currency:

    • The Currency is set when the recurring series is created and cannot be changed on subsequent invoice occurrences.
    • The Exchange Rate from the first occurrence is stored as the default for the series. For subsequent occurrences, the exchange rate will be pre-populated from the series but can be edited if required.
