    Unable to open or download documents or images when Chrome

    When trying to open or download a document or image, it doesn’t open or download. This only happens in the Chrome browser. Instead a new browser tab is automatically opened, but no content is displayed and nothing is downloaded.

     

    The solution is to clear the cached images and files.

     

    1. Select the 3 dots on the upper right part of the Chrome browser, next to your profile icon.

    2. Select Clear browsing data

    3. Open the Advanced tab

    4. Change the time range to All time

    5. Select only Cached images and files

    6. Choose Clear data

    The documents and images will now open and download correctly
