When migrating to Infusion Online, you’ll notice some differences in how email addresses are managed compared to Infusion Desktop.
Key Differences
- In Infusion Desktop: Each emailed document can only be emailed to 3 email addresses.
- In Infusion Online: Each contact can receive any document type, giving more flexibility.
Migration Behavior
- The migration process moves subscriptions to emailed documents for customer and supplier contacts accurately, so they are ready for emailing.
- The main email address works differently:
- In Infusion Online
- the main Customer email address has only two options:
- Receive Documents
- Do Not Receive Documents
- while the main Supplier email address is assumed to receive all documents.
- the main Customer email address has only two options:
- Individual document subscriptions for the main email cannot be migrated.
- During migration, the main email address is set to Receive Documents for Customers.
- In Infusion Online
Impact
- Many licenses will not notice any change if they typically email all documents to the main email address.
- If a migrated license has a main email address that should not receive documents, Infusion Support can assist with bulk updates by importing the correct flag, or a user can untick individually on a customer or supplier record.
Finer Control
- If you need detailed control over which documents the main email address receives:
- Move the email address to a customer or supplier contact.
- Set the email subscriptions at the contact level.
- Infusion Support can help with:
- Importing customer/supplier contacts.
- Setting email subscriptions as required.
