    Linking Customer Items to Jobs

How to add Customer Items onto new or existing Jobs

Searching for Jobs with Customer Items data

From the main Jobs listing page, you can now search for Jobs which are linked to Customer Items.

These are available in the Filter list and are cumulative.

Search items might return values that are not immediately visible on the Jobs listing page such as this search for a Customer Items Description

On the Job screen there is a new field to assign Customer Items

This allows you to assign a Customer Item to the Job, when in Edit mode and as long as you haven't created an Invoice yet. You can also choose to view Customer Items from All Customers, and also to select from Inactive Customer Invoices.

Note that you can only assign or unlink a Customer Item before an Invoice is generated.

In this case there are no active Customer Items for the Customer of the Job. I can try to search for inactive Customer Items.

If I select an inactive Customer Item, it will prompt you to Activate the Item

You can still Link the Customer Item to the Job while it is Inactive

This Customer Item has been Linked to the Job but is still inactive.

    It can be Unlinked

And you can examine the Customer Item. It will prompt you to open a new window or lose your changes on the current Job.

Once you have added the Customer Item to a Job you can see these links on the Job listing page.

    New Product filter options

There is also a new filter in the Product listing to enable searching on Products by Job Line Category.

This will allow you to search for Products that are contained on Job Lines

Why can't I assign a Customer Item to my existing Job?

If the Customer Item field doesn't allow input, you may not have the correct Roles. You need to have at least Job Staff or Job Manager assigned to your user License Roles.

If the Job has already generated Invoices, you can no longer assign a Customer Invoice to it.
