Deactivating or Deleting a Pricebook rule

A Pricebook rule can only be deleted or deactivated if it isn’t linked to any Pricebooks.

Open the products module and choose Pricebooks to view all of the previously created Pricebooks. To change the linked rule, open the Pricebook and choose Edit.

Change the rule on the Pricebook to a different rule to the one you want to unlink. Choose Save to complete the change of rules.

    Deactivating a Pricebook rule

A Pricebook rule can only be deactivated if it isn’t linked to any Pricebooks.

Open the Settings module and locate Pricebook Rules. This opens the existing Pricebook rules. Open the spill menu at the end of the row of the rule to be deactivated and choose Deactivate. This brings up the confirmation message to confirm the deactivation:

If the rule is linked to one or more Pricebooks, a warning message will display. Disconnect the rule from the Pricebooks first before trying to deactivate the rule again.

Deactivated Pricebook rules cannot be selected as a rule when creating a new Pricebook.

Deactivated Pricebook rules can be reactivated by opening the spill menu and choosing Activate.

    Deleting a Pricebook rule

Just as with deactivating a Pricebook rule, before deleting a Pricebook rule it needs to be unlinked from all existing Pricebooks.

Open the Settings module and locate Pricebook Rules. This opens the existing Pricebook rules. Open the spill menu at the end of the row of the rule and choose Delete. This brings up the confirmation message to confirm the deletion:

If the rule is linked to one or more Pricebooks, a warning message will display. Disconnect the rule from the Pricebooks first before trying to delete the rule again.

Unlike a deactivation, deleting a Pricebook rule removes it completely. This prevents it from being selected or reactivated.
