Pricebook Products only need to be linked to the products in Infusion if the Pricebook is being imported to update information about the product, such as costs, prices or barcodes.
Information within the Pricebook can be used to update products in Infusion; for example cost, price, barcode, or economic order quantity. To use this function first link the products in the Pricebook to products in infusion.
Bulk linking of products
Either open the imported Pricebook and select the More Options menu. Choose Link to Products, or from the Product Pricebooks page open the spill menu and choose Link to Products.
This option will establish a link between the Pricebook and the Products. This brings up the information message explaining what’s about to happen.
If the option to Link if Product Code matches (and no Supplier link exists) is selected, products that don’t have a supplier set on the Supplier’s tab of the Product but do have a matching Product Code will be updated.
Leaving this option unselected, will only update the products with a Supplier and Product Code that matches the imported Pricebook file and the supplier matches the Pricebook rule.
Choose Link, and Yes on the confirmation message to complete the Product Linking.
Linked products will now show the linked icon beside the supplier code:
Linking a single product
If a single product needs to be linked, or the link updated, open that product in the Pricebook. Choose Edit to enable editing mode on the product entry.
Using the dropdown, select the Infusion Product Code for the corresponding product in Infusion.
This establishes the link between the product in the Pricebook and Infusion. Choose Save to establish the link.
Each product can only be linked to one product on the Pricebook. When trying to link the same product in Infusion to a second product on the Pricebook you will get this error:
